Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Dubai is known to have some of the best golf courses in the World. The courses are not only appealing for the golfers, but they are a must visit for all the tourists coming to Dubai. The scenery is beautiful and the clubhouses have spectacular designs. One of the oldest and best known golf club in Dubai is the Dubai Creek Golf and Yatch Club. Located in the Gharoud Area on the Dubai Creek this is an 18-hole course par 72 course of championship standards and a 9-hole floodlit par 3, 774 yards course from the gents tees.

Open during daylight hours with tee times in 10 minute intervals. During most weekends, 'shot-gun starts' for corporate and society groups operate which means that everyone starts and finishes at one time, usually early in the morning and lunchtime. Handicap certificate required - 28 for men and 45 for ladies. No handicap required for the 9-hole course.

The facilities provided make it a premium golf course, Flood lighting allows golfers to play through the darkness until 10pm. Dubai's first-created Golf Academy offers tuition to all ages and abilities using V1 - the latest in swing analysis technology. Three floodlit practice holes, a marine and yacht club, swimming pool with a 'swim up' bar, and a Health Club Gym 2000 with personal trainers keep the active occupied day and night. The superbly facilitated club has hosted concerts by major names including Rod Stewart and Elton John.

Green fees: The 18-hole course costs 395 AED ($108) Sunday to Wednesday, and 475 AED ($130) Thursday to Saturday and Public Holidays. The 9-hole floodlit course is a modest 50 AED ($14).

Other costs: Carts cost 50 AED ($14) per person, and Ping club hire is 120 AED a set ($33), with 20 AED ($5.50) for practice balls.
